Half time Social Worker - Age Concern Otago's Elder Abuse Response Service. Based in Oamaru

Age Concern promotes the well-being, rights and dignity for Otago's older people and has a proud history of supporting older people in a variety of ways for over 70 years. Almost 10,000 Otago residents were supported last year.

This role is about responding to reports of Elder Abuse/Neglect covering the Waitaki District. You will be joining a passionate and skilled Social Work Team which covers all of Otago.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Take pride in your work

  • Have a desire to work with older people

  • Be a qualified and experienced Social Worker

  • Excellent networking skills

  • Excellent communication skills with a diverse range of people and cultures. Both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently

  • Full drivers licence

Age Concern Otago is seeking an experienced Office Adminstrator and fundraiser.

Age Concern promotes the well-being, rights and dignity for Otago's older people and has a proud 70 year history of supporting older people in a variety of ways.10,000 Otago residents are supported in a variety of ways annually. 

After 25 years of dedicated work our Office Administrator is retiring, so we need a replacement.. 

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Be passionate about their work

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise tasks

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Manual book keeping

  • Experience with Xero accounting software and MYOB pay roll

  • Common sense

  • Good time management

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Successful experience with fundraising
