The Hard Stuff

unnamed.jpg

A thought-provoking information series of talks that covers important topics regarding planning for the future.

Some of these decisions are hard to think about, let alone talk about. It is important we have the information then conversations can be started, so our wishes are known if we are unable to speak for oneself.

Topics will include:

  • Enduring Powers of Attorney – why everyone should have one and the consequences of not having one;

  • Wills and the consequences of not having a valid Will; and

  • Trusts – relevance today and the changes to the Trust Act

  • Risks of financial abuse and how to protect oneself

  • Looking at Home for Life

  • Navigation guide to applying for Super, benefits to support elders in the home and entering into residential care.

  • Being assessed for supports to stay living independently at home or moving into care
