We all want to age well. How can we do that? Over the last decade, there has been extensive research in this particular pursuit, which includes the ageing brain and how to keep our brains healthy. Dr Yoram Barak will present this series of talks on different aspects of the brain including disease prevention, how to nourish our brain and then examine how to age successfully in later life.

Dr Yoram Bark is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Otago School of Medicine, Dunedin and consultant psychogeriatrician at the SDHB. He trained in medicine and psychiatry at the Sackler School of Medicine, is a specialised consultant and collaborates with various renowned Universities including New York State, USA and University of Tel Aviv, Israel and Medical Associations

His research include multiple sclerosis, cancer, a wide range of psychiatric conditions with special emphasis on old-age psychiatry, and suicide. He has published extensively in these areas, and is author or co-author of over 175 peer-reviewed journal articles. His book "Preventing Alzheimer's Disease" has recently been published in the US.
